HTTP connection

The settings and status of the XnTcp interface can be accessed using a Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.).

If the XnTcp is connected to the Ethernet port of the computer or to a LAN without DHCP, simply connect to its IP number (default http://10.1.0.1/).

If the XnTcp is connected to a LAN with DHCP, you need to locate the board using its Netbios name:

• MXBOARD if the card has not been yet initialized;
• XNTCP001 if the XnTcp firmware has been installed.

• Simply type the Netbios name in the address box of the Web Browser.

• Launch the MacOsXconnect AppleScript contained in the distribution folder.

• Type the following command to find the IP number of the board:
  • nmblookup MXBOARD or
  • nmblookup XNTCP001
  • nmblookup is a tool of the samba suite
• Use the retrieved IP number to connect with a Web Browser.
