Ethernet cable

In order to connect the XnTcp interface to your computer, you need an Ethernet Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable, category 3 or above, with RJ-45 connectors.

To connect the interface directly to the Ethernet port of your computer, use a crossover cable.

If your computer is connected to a LAN, connect the XnTcp interface to an Ethernet Router or Switch (preferably) or to a Hub, using a straight-through cable.

You can also wireless control your layout from a laptop or a PDA, by connecting the XnTcp interface to an Ethernet/WiFi adapter or router with a straight-through cable.
